Snapchat Ads Agency in Saudi Arabia
Snapchat ads for Saudi businesses, written in Saudi Arabic, built for vertical video and measured in WhatsApp chats, leads and sales rather than views.
Snapchat ads that bring enquiries, not just views: In Saudi Arabia many people come across a new cafe, clinic, compound or online store on Snapchat before they search for it on Google. That makes Snapchat a common choice for paid social in the Kingdom, and also one of the easiest places to waste money on cheap views that never turn into a call. NoVi Marketing Services is a full-service 360 marketing and advertising agency serving businesses across Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the Gulf. We plan, produce, launch and manage Snapchat ad campaigns in Saudi Arabic and English, connect them to WhatsApp, lead forms or your store, and report the enquiries and sales that came from them.
Who Snapchat ads suit in Saudi Arabia: Snapchat works well for businesses that sell to consumers and can show their product in a few seconds of vertical video. That includes restaurants, cafes and dessert shops, clinics, dental and beauty centres, real estate developers and brokers with units to show, online stores on Salla, Zid or Shopify, fashion, perfume, abaya and gift brands, gyms, car services, events and mobile apps that want installs and sign-ups. It suits brands that want enquiries in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam or a radius around one branch, and brands with a launch, an opening or a seasonal offer to push.
Who should start somewhere else: Snapchat is not the right first channel for every business. If you sell to procurement teams, engineers or HR managers, LinkedIn and Google Search usually reach those buyers more directly. If people already search for exactly what you sell, such as an emergency plumber or a specific medical procedure, Google Ads often captures that demand sooner. If you cannot produce vertical video at all, or nobody is available to answer WhatsApp messages the same day, fix that first. We will tell you on the first call if Snapchat should wait, and what we would test instead.
The reach behind Snapchat in KSA: DataReportal's Digital 2026 Saudi Arabia report, published in November 2025 and based on Snap's own ad tools, lists Snapchat ad reach of 25.3 million, equal to about 72.9 percent of the population. Saudi press reported in October 2025 that Snap's CEO put the number of Snapchat users in the Kingdom at around 26 million. These figures count accounts and ad audiences, not unique buyers, and they do not mean every audience is cheap or easy to convert. We use them to decide whether Snapchat belongs in your plan, then check the audience size for your city, age group and interests in Snapchat Ads Manager before setting a budget.
Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province: We do not treat Saudi Arabia as one audience. Riyadh is large and spread out, so we often target districts or a radius around a branch rather than the whole city, and weekday evening traffic shapes when people order and book. Jeddah has its own Hijazi tone and a large share of visitors and residents who are not Saudi, so copy that sounds Najdi can feel slightly off there. Dammam, Al Khobar and Dhahran are close together, so one campaign can often serve all three. These are planning habits from working on Saudi accounts, not published statistics, and we confirm them against your own campaign data.
Choosing the right objective: Snapchat Ads Manager asks you to pick a goal before anything else, with options covering awareness and engagement, traffic, leads, app promotion and sales. The names have changed over the years, but the logic is stable: the platform optimises for the action you choose. If you pick reach, you get reach. A restaurant that wants orders, a clinic that wants bookings and a developer that wants qualified leads each need a different objective, a different destination and a different conversion event. We set the objective from your business goal and the tracking you have, not from whatever gives the lowest cost per view.
Snapchat ad formats and when to use each: Snap recommends Single Image or Video Ads for new advertisers, and they are the simplest place to start. Story Ads give a series of Snaps people tap through, useful for menus, unit types or product ranges. Collection Ads show several products with links, built for online stores. Dynamic Ads build ads from a product catalogue and suit stores with many items. Sponsored Snaps arrive as a Snap in the Chat inbox and were reported to scale first in Saudi Arabia and the UAE during Ramadan 2025. Commercials can run up to three minutes, with the first six seconds unskippable. AR Lenses and Filters suit launches and larger brand budgets.
Creative that works on Snapchat: Snapchat is full-screen, vertical and fast. The first two seconds decide whether someone keeps watching, so we open with the product, the price, the face or the problem, not a logo animation. Real faces and voices speaking clear Saudi dialect usually feel closer to normal Snaps than polished studio footage. Arabic captions matter because many people watch with the sound off, and we keep them large, short and inside the safe area so the call-to-action button does not cover them. We write Najdi, Hijazi or neutral Saudi Arabic depending on the city and brand, and English as its own version for expat audiences.
WhatsApp, lead forms or your website: Every Snapchat ad needs somewhere to send people. For many Saudi SMEs the fastest route is a WhatsApp chat, because that is where customers already ask about prices and availability. Snapchat lead forms work well when you need a name, a phone number and a qualifying answer without the person leaving the app. A website or store page is the right choice when people buy online or need to see a full product range. We often test two destinations side by side, then move budget to the one that gives your sales team the best conversations, not just the cheapest clicks.
Snap Pixel and Conversions API: If your ads send people to a website or online store, Snapchat needs to see what they do after the click. The Snap Pixel records events such as page views, add to cart, sign-ups and purchases in the browser. The Conversions API sends the same events from your server, which helps when browsers or apps block tracking, and the common guidance is to run both together. We set up the pixel and the key events, check that purchases and leads are recorded once and not twice, and connect store platforms such as Salla or Zid through the integrations they offer where available.
Tracking to leads and sales, not clicks: A click is not a customer. We track each campaign to the outcome you care about: a WhatsApp chat that turned into an order, a lead form that booked a visit, a purchase on your store or an app sign-up. For lead forms, we keep each lead's source and Snapchat lead ID so that qualified leads can later be matched back to the campaign that produced them. For WhatsApp, we use separate numbers, links or opening messages per campaign where possible. The aim is simple: when you look at a report, you can see which ad brought which enquiries and what each one cost.
Budgets and test budgets: Snapchat has a low daily minimum per ad set, widely reported at around five US dollars, but a test that small rarely tells you anything useful. We plan a first test budget in SAR that is large enough for each ad set to get past the learning phase and give a fair read on two or three audiences and creative ideas. The ad spend is paid to Snapchat separately from our fee, so you always see the real media cost in your own ad account. Our fee depends on scope, offered as a Project, a Monthly Retainer or a Custom mix. There are no fixed packages, and we do not publish prices.
Mawthooq licences and ad disclosure: If your Snapchat plan includes creators or influencers, the rules matter. Individuals who publish paid advertising on social media in Saudi Arabia need a Mawthooq licence from the General Authority for Media Regulation (GAMR), which replaced the General Commission for Audiovisual Media (GCAM) in 2023. Reports in December 2024 said the requirement also applies to influencers visiting the Kingdom. Paid content should be clearly marked as an ad. We check each creator's licence status before any booking, write disclosure into every brief, and keep creator content in your ad account so it can be tracked. For legal questions on a specific campaign, confirm with your own adviser.
National Day, Founding Day and the symbols ban: Saudi National Day on 23 September and Founding Day on 22 February are big marketing moments on Snapchat, and also the days when brands are most likely to run into the rules. The Ministry of Commerce already bans the Saudi flag in commercial promotions, and in November 2024 it extended the ban to national, religious and sectarian symbols and logos, and to images and names of Saudi leaders, on goods and promotional material. We build these campaigns around colours, heritage, family moments and the brand's own story, keep greeting Snaps separate from sales offers, and review every frame before it goes live.
Ramadan, Eid, summer and Riyadh Season: Snapchat use shifts with the Saudi calendar. In Ramadan activity often moves late into the night, so ad schedules usually follow the hours after iftar and taraweeh, and Snap said in early 2025, as reported by ArabAd, that around ten billion Stories a day are viewed during Ramadan in markets such as KSA. Iftar offers, gifting and Eid collections need creative approved weeks ahead. Summer brings travel and a slower season for some sectors, while Riyadh Season usually runs from autumn into winter and lifts events, dining and entertainment. We plan the calendar with you at the start and confirm event dates against official announcements.
Snapchat vs TikTok vs Meta in Saudi Arabia: The same DataReportal report lists TikTok ad reach of 38.6 million adults aged 18 and over, a number larger than the adult population because ad tools count accounts rather than people, plus Instagram at 18.2 million and Facebook at 17.7 million. All three platforms matter. In our planning, Snapchat is strong for daily habit, local offers and young Saudi audiences, TikTok for discovery and creator-style video, and Meta for retargeting, catalogue sales and click-to-WhatsApp at scale. Many Saudi brands run Snapchat alongside one of the others. We recommend a mix from your audience, your product and your existing data, and we will say plainly if your budget is better spent on one platform done well.
Notes by sector: Restaurants and cafes do best with short food shots, the branch location and a reason to visit this week, targeted to a radius around each branch. Clinics need careful wording, real doctors where they agree to appear, and a medical review of every claim. Real estate ads must follow the advertising rules of the Real Estate General Authority (REGA), and leads need qualifying questions on budget and timing. Stores on Salla and Zid benefit from catalogue ads and clean purchase tracking. Apps need installs and in-app events measured, not just downloads. Lead forms and retargeting lists follow Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law.
Common Snapchat ad mistakes: The mistakes we see most often are easy to fix. Brands optimise for swipes or views and wonder why sales do not move. They run the same horizontal TV ad on a vertical platform. They target all of Saudi Arabia when the branch serves three districts. They send ads to a WhatsApp number nobody answers until the next morning. They launch without a pixel, so the platform never learns who buys. They change budgets and audiences every day, so nothing has time to learn. And they report followers and impressions instead of leads, bookings and orders.
In-house, freelancer or agency: An in-house specialist knows your business and works only on your account, but one person rarely covers strategy, Saudi dialect copy, video production, tracking and reporting all at once. A freelancer can be a good, lower-cost start for a single store with simple goals, though cover during holidays and growth can be thin. An agency brings a team across media buying, creative, content and analytics, which helps when you run several platforms or seasons at once. If you already have an in-house marketer who owns the brand, we can work alongside them on Snapchat planning, creative and tracking.
Your first 30 days with us: Week one is a consultation and an audit of your Snapchat ad account, pixel and past campaigns, if you have them, plus a look at competitors' ads. In week two we agree objectives, audiences, destinations and the tracking plan, and set up or fix the Snap Pixel, Conversions API and lead routing. In week three we produce the first round of vertical creative in Saudi Arabic and English and launch a structured test. In week four we review the first results with you, keep what works, cut what does not and agree the plan for the next month.
What to prepare for the first call: You do not need a full brief. It helps to bring access to your Snapchat Business account, or a note that you do not have one yet, your website or store link, the cities or branches you serve, your average order or deal value if you know it, who answers WhatsApp and when, any past results from Snapchat, TikTok or Meta, and the season or launch you are working towards. A rough monthly ad spend range is useful too, so we can say honestly what a first test can and cannot show. We recommend keeping ad accounts in your business's name.
Reporting and an ad account audit: Each month you get a report and a review call showing spend, enquiries, WhatsApp chats, lead form submissions, bookings or purchases where tracked, cost per lead or sale, and the ads and audiences behind them. Views and swipe-ups are included, but they are not the goal. We work Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 to 18:00 through video calls, shared documents and WhatsApp, and agree with you who covers evening replies. Frequently asked
How much do Snapchat ads cost in Saudi Arabia?
There are two parts. The ad spend is paid to Snapchat directly from your own ad account, and Snapchat has a low daily minimum per ad set, widely reported at around five US dollars. Our management fee is separate and depends on scope, offered as a Project, a Monthly Retainer or a Custom mix. We do not publish fixed packages. After an ad account audit we suggest a first test budget in SAR that can give a fair read.
Is Snapchat still worth it for businesses in Saudi Arabia?
For many consumer brands, yes. DataReportal's Digital 2026 Saudi Arabia report lists Snapchat ad reach of 25.3 million, about 72.9 percent of the population, based on Snap's own tools. Reach is not the same as buyers, though. Snapchat works best when you can show the product in vertical video and answer enquiries quickly. B2B sellers often start with LinkedIn or Google instead.
Which Snapchat ad format should I start with?
A sensible start is Single Image or Video Ads, which Snap itself recommends for new advertisers, sending people to WhatsApp, a lead form or a store page. Online stores add Collection or Dynamic Ads once the Snap Pixel records purchases. Story Ads suit menus and unit types. Sponsored Snaps, Commercials and AR Lenses come later, when there is a clear reason and budget for them.
Can Snapchat ads send customers straight to WhatsApp?
Yes. An ad's link can open a WhatsApp chat, which suits Saudi customers who prefer to ask about price and availability by message. We use separate links or opening messages per campaign so each chat can be traced to the ad that produced it, and we agree with you who answers chats in the evening, because slow replies lose bookings.
Do I need the Snap Pixel and Conversions API?
If your ads send people to a website or online store, yes. The Snap Pixel records actions such as add to cart and purchase in the browser, and the Conversions API sends the same events from your server, which helps when tracking is blocked. Running both together is the common recommendation. Without them, Snapchat cannot learn who buys, and your reports stop at clicks.
Do influencers on Snapchat need a Mawthooq licence?
Generally yes. Individuals who publish paid ads on social media in Saudi Arabia need a Mawthooq licence from the General Authority for Media Regulation (GAMR), and reports in December 2024 said this also applies to visiting influencers. Paid content should be clearly marked as an ad. We check licence status before booking any creator and write disclosure into every brief.
Can we use the Saudi flag in National Day Snapchat ads?
Not in commercial content. The Ministry of Commerce bans the Saudi flag in commercial promotions, and in November 2024 extended the ban to national, religious and sectarian symbols and logos and to images and names of Saudi leaders. We build National Day and Founding Day campaigns around colours, heritage and your brand story, and keep greetings separate from offers.
Snapchat, TikTok or Meta: which works better in Saudi Arabia?
It depends on your audience and product. In our planning, Snapchat is strong for daily habit and local offers, TikTok for discovery and creator-style video, and Meta for retargeting, catalogue sales and WhatsApp campaigns. Many Saudi brands run Snapchat alongside one of the others. If the budget is small, we usually recommend doing one platform well before adding a second.
How soon will Snapchat ads bring leads?
Campaigns with lead forms or WhatsApp can bring first enquiries soon after launch, once tracking is in place. The first two to four weeks are a structured test, so cost per lead usually moves as the platform learns and weak ads are cut. We set expectations per objective at the start, and the monthly report shows what actually came in.
Can you target one city or the area around a branch?
Yes. Snapchat campaigns can target Saudi Arabia as a whole, chosen cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah or Dammam, or a radius around each branch. A cafe or clinic usually gets better value from tight local targeting than from paying to reach people across the country. We check audience size in Snapchat Ads Manager before setting the budget.
