Social Media Agency in Doha, Qatar

Social media management for companies selling in Qatar, with Arabic written for Qatari readers, English for Doha's residents, short video, paid social and WhatsApp tracking, all judged by the enquiries, bookings and orders it brings.

Who this is for, and who it is not for: NoVi's social media service in Doha suits companies whose customers are in Qatar and who judge their accounts by enquiries, bookings, app orders and branch visits. It suits, for example, restaurants and cafes in Doha, retailers and online stores, clinics, property developers and brokers, hotels and event venues, suppliers selling to other businesses, and Saudi, Emirati or Egyptian brands entering Qatar. If you want a promised follower number or a post that goes viral on request, we are the wrong team. If you need a 360 plan covering brand, website and search, start with our Qatar market page. If you want strategy without daily execution, our marketing consultancy in Doha fits better.

Why Qatar needs a plan of its own: In Qatar the audience is small, but each customer is worth a lot. According to DataReportal's Digital 2026 Qatar report, the population is about 3.13 million and there were 2.95 million active social media user identities in October 2025, about 94.3 percent of the population, with internet use at 99 percent. The report itself notes that identities are not necessarily separate people. In practice this means two things. Your ads keep reaching the same faces, so creative wears out sooner than in a bigger market like Riyadh or Cairo and needs regular refreshing. And word travels quickly between families, majlis gatherings and colleagues, so one careless reply in the comments reaches the very customers you want. A plan built for Qatar chooses its audience carefully, protects the brand's reputation and is reviewed every month against sales, not reach.

Which platform does what in Doha: For late 2025, the same report gives advertising reach of about 2.40 million on Facebook, 2.31 million on YouTube, 1.80 million LinkedIn members, 1.70 million on Instagram, 1.24 million on Snapchat and 650 thousand on X. TikTok's ad tools report 2.95 million adults, a figure higher than Qatar's adult population, which the report flags. Ad reach measures potential audience, not attention, so we treat these numbers as direction only. For many Doha brands, Instagram is the shop window and the booking channel. Snapchat suits daily moments and area-targeted offers for Qatari and Gulf audiences. TikTok is where new customers discover you. X is where news, public debate and complaints surface. LinkedIn carries more weight than in many markets because of the professionals working in West Bay, Lusail and the Qatar Financial Centre, and it suits companies that sell to businesses or deal with government. YouTube fits longer reviews and walkthroughs. We usually pick two or three, and the reasons go in the written strategy.

Arabic for Qatari readers, English for Doha's residents: Expatriates are most of Qatar's population, from Arab, South Asian, Filipino, Western and other communities, while Qatari citizens are a smaller group with high spending power and real influence. A single message rarely fits all of them. For Qatari and Gulf customers we write the Arabic from scratch, not as a translation, in a clear Gulf tone a Qatari reader is comfortable with, and we move to more formal Arabic for official, medical and legal topics. Arabic that sounds Egyptian, Levantine or machine made loses trust quickly, and our writers know those differences. For the wider resident community English is usually the shared language, and some brands also need captions or creators for specific communities. We decide the language per audience and campaign, design Arabic layouts right to left from the start, and answer every comment in the language it was written in.

From audit to monthly plan: The first step is a review of your accounts, of the Qatar competitors your customers compare you with, and of any ad data you already have. The result is a short written strategy covering which customer groups come first, what each platform is for, three to five content themes, how the brand sounds in Arabic and English, and the commercial result each theme supports. Every month you approve the next calendar before it starts. It mixes your products or services, answers to questions customers really ask, the people and work behind the brand, offers and seasonal moments. The calendar is tied to your business plan, so a branch opening in Lusail, a menu change or a project launch gets support weeks in advance. Shoots are grouped so one session feeds several weeks of posts, and each month we compare the plan with the results.

Short video, and who holds the camera: Reels, TikTok and Snapchat bring most of the reach in Qatar, so we plan video before static posts. Each video opens with something that grabs attention in the first seconds, carries on-screen text and subtitles for people watching on mute, and keeps text away from the app buttons. Our team sits in Cairo, so the split of work is agreed upfront. NoVi supplies the idea, the script and a shot by shot list. The camera is in the hands of your staff, a creator or a Doha videographer you hire, and we can direct live over a video call. Back in Cairo, our creative and production team cuts the footage, adds motion graphics and captions in both languages, and builds the reusable templates.

Comments and messages on Doha time: Qatar stays on UTC+3 all year. Cairo is one hour behind Doha in winter, and on the same clock while Egypt observes summer time, from late April to late October. We work Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 to 18:00 Cairo time, which is 11:00 to 19:00 in Doha in winter, and our working week matches Qatar's. Before we answer the first message, we write a reply guide with you on prices, branches, delivery zones, bookings and complaints, and list the topics that always go to your team. We then cover comments and direct messages in Arabic and English during the agreed hours, against a response time we set together. Evenings and weekends matter for restaurants and shops in Doha, so we plan that cover with your staff, and questions that keep coming back become highlights and new posts.

WhatsApp, apps and consent: In Qatar, many customers prefer a WhatsApp chat to a web form, and a large share of repeat buying happens inside apps. We set up click to WhatsApp on profiles and ads, write the welcome message and quick replies in Arabic and English, and link each chat to the campaign it came from so your team knows the source. For app businesses, we connect ads to install and purchase events in tools such as Firebase, which is how Al Raie Qatar's app sales were measured. On personal data, Qatar's Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection prohibits electronic direct marketing without prior consent, so broadcast lists, newsletters and remarketing audiences need a clear opt-in and an easy way to unsubscribe. That is our reading as marketers, and your legal adviser should confirm what applies to you.

Paid social where every customer counts: We run campaigns on Meta, Snapchat, TikTok, X, LinkedIn and YouTube, choosing each objective for the result you want, whether WhatsApp chats, leads, app installs, catalogue sales or branch visits. In a market the size of Qatar, the biggest improvement usually comes from deciding whom to leave out. Excluding audiences that will not buy, running Arabic and English ads separately and targeting the area around a branch usually make more difference than a bigger budget. Tracking is ready before anything launches, with pixels, conversion events, UTM links and WhatsApp labels. You set the budget, spend runs through ad accounts in your company's name, and our media buying team shows you what each campaign cost and what it brought in.

Case study from Doha, Al Raie Qatar: Al Raie Qatar sells animal feed, veterinary medicine and farm supplies, mostly through its own app. Its Meta ads had been running on awareness and engagement objectives, and most enquiries came from people who were never going to buy, while the real buyers are Qatari farm owners. NoVi narrowed targeting to Qataris and farm owners, switched objectives to app installs and WhatsApp conversations, built three creative lines for feed and nutrition, medicine, and supplies, and added iOS install campaigns on Instagram and limited-time WhatsApp offers. From 1 September to 25 October 2026, Firebase recorded QAR 1,251,363.50 in app sales against QAR 21,999.88 of Meta ad spend, a return of about 57 to 1, over 21 campaigns that reached 960,708 people. The full details are in the case study. This is one client in one sector, shared to show how we work, not as a forecast for your account.

Creators and licensing in Qatar: Rules for influencers in Qatar are still taking shape, so check before you sign anyone. The Ministry of Culture is the authority that licenses advertising, publicity and public relations activity. In late December 2024 the Shura Council sent the Cabinet a proposal for a framework to regulate digital content that includes licensing influencers, and we have not seen confirmation that it has become law. Treat it as a proposal and ask the Ministry of Culture what applies before any paid collaboration. On our side, we shortlist creators whose followers are actually in Qatar and resemble your customers, check engagement quality and past brand work, ask each creator about their licence status, write a clear brief, make sure paid content is labelled as advertising, send every post for your approval and track results with codes, links and WhatsApp labels.

Sales, discounts and selling on social: Two Ministry of Commerce and Industry rules often shape social campaigns in Qatar. Selling at reduced prices needs prior approval under Decision No. 311 of 2018, which was amended in 2025 to allow more than one sale period a year. Ministerial Decision No. 25 of 2026, which law firm summaries say took effect in March 2026, regulates an e-commerce licence for commercial activity through websites, apps and social media accounts, especially for businesses without a physical shop, and reports say each platform should show the commercial registration number, licence number and contact details. So before we announce a sale or set up an Instagram shop, we ask you to confirm the permits are in place. Rules change, and the Ministry's website is the reference.

Planning around the Qatar calendar: The year's biggest content moment, Ramadan 2027, should begin around 8 February if the official moon sighting confirms it, followed by Eid al-Fitr around 9 or 10 March and Eid al-Adha around 16 May. Qatar National Sports Day is the second Tuesday of February, 9 February 2027, so it will probably fall in the first days of Ramadan and needs timing and a tone that respect the fast. Have Ramadan ideas, shoots, creator bookings and offer permits ready by January, and expect posting and reply times to move into the evening during the month. National Day on 18 December is a time to take part respectfully, with care over tone and national symbols, not to push sales. The cooler months bring outdoor seating, festivals and events, while in summer many residents travel and activity moves indoors and online. We confirm exact dates once they are announced and adjust the plan.

Restaurants, cafes and hospitality: For restaurant and hotel brands in Doha, social media proves its value in covers, orders and bookings. We plan signature dishes, new branches, brunches and seasonal menus as short video, together with the team and the space, and work with creators whose followers live near you. Each area has its own character, so a cafe in Msheireb, a restaurant at The Pearl and a delivery kitchen in Al Wakrah each need their own offer and targeting. Separate booking links, WhatsApp labels and delivery app codes show which posts actually fill tables. Photos and reviews on your Google Business Profile should match what people see on Instagram, and our SEO service in Doha can help with that.

Retail, fashion and online stores: A shopper in Qatar may see you on Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok, visit the mall and check your website, all in one week. We plan new arrivals, styling and try-on videos, answers about sizing, and launches around Ramadan, both Eids, back to school, National Day and the cooler shopping months. Catalogue ads and retargeting bring back people who viewed a product so they can buy it, and brands that close sales in chat do well with click to WhatsApp ads. Prices are shown in QAR, and delivery areas and return terms are written clearly. If you sell through an Instagram account or online store, the e-commerce licence rules above apply to that channel too.

Clinics and healthcare: Patients in Doha often compare doctors on Instagram and Snapchat before messaging the clinic on WhatsApp, so we build that journey from the first view to the booked appointment. That means education presented by your doctors, honest answers to the questions patients ask before booking, and a booking route your reception staff follow up. We avoid outcome promises and before and after claims you cannot prove. Ministry of Public Health Circular No. 1 of 2021, with its later amendments, states that healthcare advertising content on social media must be approved in writing by the facility's medical director and the practitioner, with the practitioner's licence details stated accurately. That is why every medical post is signed off by your clinic before it is published. Please check current requirements with the Ministry of Public Health.

Real estate in Lusail, The Pearl and West Bay: Property buyers in Qatar take their time, ask a lot of questions and include both Qatari and expatriate investors. Posts follow the life of a project, from the location story and floor plans to payment options and site progress, using walkthroughs and aerial footage if you have them, with different Arabic and English ads for citizens and expatriate investors. Questions about who can own property and where come up all the time, so we answer them with content your legal and sales teams have reviewed. Lead form and click to WhatsApp campaigns link every lead to its source, and we agree a call back time with your sales team, because a quick call matters more than a long list of names. Our Khyam case study, for a commercial building in Riyadh, shows the branding and campaign side of our real estate work.

How to choose a social media agency in Doha: Start with the Arabic. Request real captions an agency has produced for a Qatari audience and the name of the writer behind them. Then test their thinking on platforms by asking where they would put your money first and what they would skip. Ask how they handle influencer licensing, discount permits and medical approvals, and who will reply to your customers day to day. Get it in writing that ad accounts, pages and raw files belong to your company. Look at a real monthly report and see whether it counts enquiries, bookings or sales or stops at reach. Know the team's location and who will shoot your content. Ours is in Cairo, and we tell you that on the first call. Be cautious about follower promises, bought engagement, the same post sent to every audience, or any agency that cannot tell you what it would stop doing.

Measurement and your first 90 days: Before launch we agree what success means for you, such as WhatsApp conversations, bookings, app installs and purchases, qualified leads or promo code orders, and we also follow reach, saves, shares, watch time, response time, cost per lead and return on ad spend where the data allows. Month one is for the audit, the strategy, the reply guide, tracking setup and planning the first shoot. Month two puts content and community management live and launches paid campaigns with specific tests on audience, ad creative and offer. Month three stops what is underperforming, moves budget to what works and ends with a quarterly review with you. Each monthly report explains simply what happened, why we think it happened and what we will change as a result.

Work you can check: Al Raie Qatar is the only Qatari client we name, and we do not publish results a client has not agreed to share. Alongside that case study, you can see the short-form social content we made for We Three Design, a design studio in Cairo, with concept, production and editing done in-house for Instagram and TikTok. Our published brand guidelines, including Maison Nefer, Zahma, Emilie, Qahwet El Sheikh and Khyam, show the visual systems, typography and tone rules that social content is built on, so posts look like one brand from the first month. These are brand books, not reports on social media performance. For examples from your sector, tell us on the call and we will show whatever we have permission to share.

Who we work with: NoVi Marketing Services works with companies only: SMEs, startups, family businesses and enterprises, with a focus on Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar. We do not grow personal social media accounts, sell followers, likes or views, or promote individual profiles. When you contact us, please share your company name, website and what you sell, so the right team can reply.

How to start: A first call is more useful when we have a few things in advance. Share the links to your accounts and site, what you spend on ads today, the products or services that matter most, which parts of Qatar you deliver to or serve, and the number of orders, bookings or leads that would make a month a success. If you have them, add your brand book, reports from older campaigns, the competitors you watch and any signed creator agreements. We then meet on video, go through your accounts and reply in writing with the platforms we suggest, what month one would contain and a quote in QAR. You can reach us via the contact page, or on WhatsApp at +20 110 396 6774. The team works from Cairo, Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 to 18:00 Cairo time, every meeting with Doha clients happens on video, and we have no office in Doha. If you also need a website, SEO or a complete brand identity, we will direct you to the NoVi service that fits.

Frequently asked

How much does a social media agency in Doha cost?

It depends on how many platforms you need, how much video, whether community management covers evenings and weekends, and the size of your ad and creator budgets. Management fees and media spend are always separate, and ad spend runs on accounts you own. NoVi quotes in QAR on request after a short call about your goals, so the scope matches what you actually need rather than a fixed package.

Do influencers in Qatar need a licence to promote brands?

The Ministry of Culture licenses advertising, publicity and public relations activity. In late December 2024 the Shura Council sent the Cabinet a proposed framework for digital content that includes licensing social media influencers, and we have not seen confirmation that it has become law. Treat it as a proposal, check the current requirement with the Ministry of Culture before any paid collaboration, and make sure sponsored content is clearly labelled as advertising.

Which social media platforms work for business in Qatar?

There is no single answer. Instagram and Snapchat suit most consumer brands, TikTok drives discovery, X carries news and public conversation, LinkedIn matters for B2B and the large professional workforce, and YouTube suits longer video. DataReportal's Digital 2026 report shows sizeable ad audiences on all of them. The right two or three for you depend on where your buyers spend their time and what you sell.

Should our posts in Qatar be in Arabic or English?

Usually both, but not always in the same post. Qatari and Gulf customers respond to Arabic written in a natural Gulf tone, while most residents are expatriates who often use English day to day. We decide the language by audience, platform and campaign, write each language from scratch instead of translating, and reply to every comment in the language it was written in.

Can you manage our accounts without an office in Doha?

Yes. NoVi works with Qatar brands remotely from its team in Cairo, with all meetings on video calls, and we do not have a Doha office. Strategy, writing, design, editing, community management, ads and reporting are done remotely. Filming is done by your team, a creator or a Doha videographer you appoint, using our script and shot list, with remote direction when needed.

Do we need a permit to advertise a discount on social media in Qatar?

In most cases, yes. Sales at reduced prices need prior approval from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry under Decision No. 311 of 2018, as amended in 2025, and the Ministry has fined companies for advertising discounts without a permit. If you sell through social accounts or a website, Ministerial Decision No. 25 of 2026 also regulates an e-commerce licence, especially for businesses without a physical shop. Confirm the details with the Ministry before launch.

Can a clinic in Qatar advertise on Instagram and Snapchat?

Yes, within the Ministry of Public Health rules. Circular No. 1 of 2021, later amended, requires the content of healthcare advertisements on social media to be approved in writing by the facility's medical director and the practitioner, with licence details stated accurately. We build doctor-led, factual content, avoid outcome promises, and have your clinic sign off every medical post before it goes live.

What has NoVi done for brands in Qatar?

Our published Qatar case study is Al Raie Qatar, which sells feed, veterinary medicine and farm supplies through its app. After we narrowed targeting to Qataris and farm owners and moved objectives to app installs and WhatsApp conversations, Firebase tracked QAR 1,251,363.50 in app sales from QAR 21,999.88 of Meta ad spend between 1 September and 25 October 2026, about 57 to 1.

When should we start planning Ramadan 2027 content in Qatar?

Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February, subject to the official moon sighting, and Qatar National Sports Day falls on 9 February. Start concepts, shoots, creator bookings and any discount permits in November or December 2026, so everything is approved and ready by January. Posting times, reply hours and ad schedules should then shift to evenings during the month.

How is this different from NoVi's Qatar page and Doha consultancy?

This page covers running your social media day to day, from content and video to community management, paid social and creators. The Qatar market page covers our full 360 service across brand, website, SEO and media. The marketing consultancy in Doha covers strategy, positioning and a go-to-market plan without ongoing execution, and our SEO company in Doha page covers search.
